Lino Reduction print

This limited edition of 18 prints is a three colour lino reduction made at the BIP Fine Art Printing Studios in Kemp Town Brighton.I have tried to recreate the atmosphere and movement in the linoprints made at The Grosvenor School of Modern Art in the years between the First and Second World Wars. A friend suggested rugby and specifically Leicester Tigers. The player with the ball wears the red, green and white of Leicester. The opposition is a little unclear but maybe Exeter turned out in black and white stripes in the inter-war years.
It is printed on Canaletto 300gsm acid free paper using oil based relief printing inks. The Columbian press used for this work was built in 1844.
