This image in a limited edition of 18 is a four colour vinyl relief print and is based on a still from the 1935 British Hitchcock film version of the John Buchan 1935 spy thriller. It represents the moment when Richard Hannay (Robert Donat) realises that Annabella Smith, (Lucy Mannheim) is probably a mercenary counter spy. As she is now in his flat and pursued by enemy agents, they are both in grave danger. Possibly Hitchcock’s finest early British film with a great cast and an excellent mix of comedy, intrigue and suspense.
This edition is printed on Fabriano Artistico mould laid cotton paper at the BIP Print Studios in Kemp Town, Brighton. The Columbian printing press used for the work dates back to the 1840’s.
